Illustrations? Illustration logo designs and why do they cost more?

In the design world an illustration is referred to as a character/mascot based logo design. This means that the designer must draw and colour a character that is to be the base of the logo. This of course is a skill preficient task, and with skill there is a greater time element which often results in an increased cost.

Here’s the Wikipedia definition.

“An illustration is a visualization or a depiction made by an artist, such as a drawing, sketch, painting, photograph, or other kind of image of things seen, remembered or imagined, using a graphical representation. The word comes from the latin word illustra’tioillu’stro meaning enlighten, irradiate.”
